Talk:Frame of government of province of pennsylvania
It seems in many ways like America has become a perversion of the original government of Pennsylvania. Many of the statutes seen from a 1682 document would drastically improve our current U.S. government on government accountability, the courts, public education, and marriage. It's amazing for me to look at how much more effective, in many ways, this document was than the later U.S. Constitution.
More people need to know about this, given today's Separation of Church and State debate. The mere mention of William Penn and his early Province of Pennsylvania would put an end to the debate once and for all, especially when coupled with Jefferson's Virginia Statute for Religious Freedom.--Jzyehoshua 14:41, 21 April 2012 (PDT)
