Dumah (Hebrew: דומה, Dūmāh; "Name means::silence") was the sixth of the twelve sons of son of::Ishmael according to Genesis 25:14 .

Dumah gave his name to Dumat al-Jandal (Arabic: دومة الجندل, Dumat al-Jandal) which is an ancient city of ruins in the Al Jawf (Arabic: الجوف, Al Jawf‎) province, halfway across northwestern Saudi Arabia between southern Babylonia and Palestine. His descendants were the Adummatu which Nabonidus claimed he conquered, the Domatha described by Ptolemy and the Dumathii by Porphyry. His name may even be the origin of the name Idumæa.
