Petrus Josephus Wilhelmus Debije (1884-1966)

Debye is the unit of electric dipole moment. It was named in honour of the physicist Peter J. W. Debye.

It is a CGS (Centimetre–gram–second system of units) unit and is equal to 3,34 x 10−30 Coulomb × meter, and its symbol is D.[1]
