Response Article
This article (Darwin recanted on his deathbed (Talk.Origins)) is a response to a rebuttal of a creationist claim published by Talk.Origins Archive under the title Index to Creationist Claims.

Claim CG001:

Darwin renounced evolution on his deathbed.

CreationWiki response:

CreationWiki and Talk.Origins agree that there is no evidence for this. Even if he had recanted on his death bed it would not prove anything either way. And Charles Darwin was not the first to conceive of evolution.

It should be noted that Talk.Origins has used an obscure source that is not primarily creationist, let alone part of the mainstream creationist movement, which (despite Talk.Origins' inaccurate attribution) itself quotes another obscure source from 1966 that quotes a Bombay newspaper from 1916. The claim is not made by mainstream creationists groups, and in fact is denied by them, as shown by one of Talk.Origins' references to an article by Russell Grigg (not Greig as Talk.Origins has it).
