Abishua (Hebrew: אבישוע, ʼAbīshūaʻ; "Name means::father of plenty") (fl. 2603-2683 AM) was the fourth high priest of Israel and an ancestor of Ezra. (1_Chronicles 6:4-5,50 , Ezra 7:1-5 )
Abishua is one of three high priests of the line of Eleazar who held the office between the death of Phinehas (2603 AM) and the investiture of Eli (2843 AM). Each of these three men is estimated to have held the office for eighty years. Abishua held the high priesthood during the careers of Judges Othniel and Ehud.
